Frida Kahlo is one of the most recognized Mexican artists, due to her surrealist and emblematic paintings in which she portrayed herself and the characters of her time. Who was Frida Kahlo?

Frida Kahlo was born in the year of 1907 and died in 1954, although she had a difficult life due to an illness in her childhood and an accident in her youth that would cause her to undergo countless surgeries. However, at the age of 32 his works began to be exhibited in Europe and he enjoyed the recognition of artists and intellectuals of his time. His work was not recognized in bulk until several years after his death.  

All this history and more will be possible to know and understand through the 9 rooms that make up the museum, in which it can be found from a timeline of his early years in context with the historical events, facsimiles of the letters he wrote to the painter Diego Rivera, a look at his works through light boxes, some costumes such as those Frida dressed and varied forms that aim to connect us with the existence of this extraordinary woman.

The museum has a small shop for the acquisition of souvenirs and on the top floor is the restaurant where exquisite dishes that evoke the color of Frida Kahlo's brushstrokes are served.

Keep in mind that it may be more convenient ask for packages for tourists, as they may include transportation, entrance and breakfast, lunch or dinner as the case may be.
